  • Why is it called “Andrés de Poza”?
Because this 16th century Biscayan scholar was not only linked to his home town, Bilbao, but also to the Peninsular and European cultural and scientific enviroment of his age, with a wide knowledge of languages and laws, as his two main works prove: De la angitua lengua, poblaciones y comarcas de las Españas and La Hidrografía.
