This project is based on establishing a set of common edition
criteria, although these criteria may be adapted in each case depending
on text type and chronology of the works.
In any case, the editor’s critical interventions will remain within the
text itself through the metadata, by using the XML mark-up language,
specifically the international TEI standard (Text Enconding Initiative) in its P5 proposal.
Along
the course of the project, methodologycal debates may also arise on the
application of these standards.Together with text processing, the
project includes the development of an interface which will allow to
contrast different versions of one document or its translations, making
the comparison between texts easier for researchers and users.
