The Andrés de Poza Portal is born as a project of the research group from the University of Deusto Seminario Alfonso
Irigoien.
It consists on the creation of a website specialized in the edition of
texts with multiple versions, be they European literary texts with
translations into different languages, be they multiple versions
created along the textual transmission of a notarial text, specially in
the basque-romanic area.
Based on these objectives, this portal responds to two different
cultural and scientific demands: the recovery of the documental
heritage and the creation of a corpus that offers materials for:
-
the knowledge of the European interculturality through literary reception
-
the study of the translation process or language learning
-
pedagogical aplications in these fields.
The famous Biscayan that gives his name to the Portal, Andrés de Poza,
encarnates, precisely, this link between the patrimonial roots and the
openness to a multilingual, plural erudition, which he shows not only
in his works, but in many aspects of his own life too.
The launch and first design of this website has been made possible by the Vice-Rectorate of International Relations and the Agency for Research Management and Promotion–DEIKER of the University of Deusto. Additional funds for its development and continuity have been requested to other institutions.
This project also counts on the support of Bitext company.
